Our Samurai Vest, called Jin-Baori in Japanese, is a type of Jerkin sometimes worn for ceremonial occasions but was originally part of Japanese armor [as shown in this historic picture Samurai in full costume (circa 1860)]
The Samurai vest extends to the thighs and features gold trim down the front, on the edge of the sleeves, along the bottom hem and along the edges of the two slits at the back. The back slits make movement easy. The eyelets and openings in the fabric on both the front and back let you easily attach your shoulder armor to your body armor for the authentic battle look. That way you can wear the vest over your Japanese armor.
