The Avon Jupon gown, from the early 1500s Flanders, is a lovely and practical gown available in 6 colors. Flanders in the1500’s was originally considered part of northern France but today is known as Belgium.
The lacings on each side of the bodice allow the gown’s waistline to be flexible for hearty eating at the banquet while additional laces from wrist to elbow provide a snug fit.
The detachable sleeves provide multiple options to expand the look of your medieval wardrobe. You can easily be interchanged with other colors in the same style or different styles.
The Avon Jupon is designed to be worn with a Classic Chemise and the extra fabric from the chemise sleeves can be tucked into the top part of the gown’s sleeves to make them appear fuller.
The gown waist cinch provides a lift for the bosom, eliminating the need to wear a bra.
