By the beginning of the 19th century, pantaloons are full length and feature closer fitting legs with a full seat which these do to be accurate to the period.
These Pantaloons are offered with either the broad fall (from hip to hip) or narrow fall front and are made using light weight civilian wools and other fabrics.
Lighter colors are the norm for this time period. No belts were worn. Instead, breeches, pantaloons and trousers were held up by tight-fitting waists, which were adjusted by gusset ties in back of the waist. Seats were baggy to allow a man to rise comfortably from a sitting position. Some had underfoot straps or stirrups to them anchored in place
These Pantaloons are perfect for any history aficionado who wants to observe all the correct details.
Our pantaloons are without any pockets as was common during this time period.
Buttons are either natural bone or pewter. The single button front is standard with double button front offered as an option.
Back belt with buckle is available as an option for adjustment of waist size. Legs are left raw at the bottom so that you may hem the length you desire.
Stirrups are available for an extra cost and left loose for you to install after hemming.
