1800-1830 Vintage Steampunk Jazz Cloth Double-Breasted Tailcoat Features the "Beau Brummel" style "meets in the middle" front with single button chain closure while the five extra decorative buttons per side give a "triple-breasted" effect.
The collar and cuff fabric match the coat body as standard or, if you want, harmonizing velvet color can be used. Typically either black velvet, brown velvet, dark blue velvet or grey velvet - whichever corresponds to the body of the coat will be used.
During the 1800s to 1830s, tail coats were very commonly worn by many men in all walks of life.
This reproduction features open low roll lapel with a 3" high Standing (or Stand and Fall) collar. Sleeves are the "half and half" style with eased caps and narrow shoulders following the fashionable style of the period.
Cuffs are 4" high and close with 2 small buttons. One inside breast pocket and two interior skirt pockets are all fully lined with cotton.
Exterior pockets are available on the waistline under the sleeve. If this option is chosen, the back inside lining pockets are dropped.
