The Morning Frockcoat (worn 1855 thru 1880) gets its name from being worn for formal occasions that occur early in the day rather than in the evening.
This time period when this coat was most worn blurs from the early 1850s through the Civil War era until the 1880s which are considered both part of the Victorian and Old West time period.
It has the rounded “slope away” front with a single button closure and high waistline.
Full cotton lining is standard in cotton in black or brown. You do, however, have the option to get a polished cotton lining in black, brown or natural for an additional $29.00.
Velvet trim can be added to Collar only or Collar and Cuffs.
You should also choose your preferred button style as either Large Flat or Medium Domed.
The Morning Frock generally looks best in a dark coat and light colored vest and trouser combinations, although this is not required.
** Front pockets are not available on this coat.
